My real name is Michael. I live in New Jersey, and have for all my life (although I’ve visited plenty of places!). I’m

My majors are were Political Science and Jurisprudence. I am also a Public Policy and International Affairs graduate student. I’ve been a fan of anime since I was a little kid. My first series was Speed Racer, because my dad is a fan of that (and only that). But I grew up in the 90′s, so I saw Dragon Ball Z and Sailor Moon and plenty of others while still pretty young. Other early anime for me included Akira, Blood: The Last Vampire,Dominion: Tank Police, and plenty of others on VHS and DVD. And then later of course stuff like Cowboy Bebop, and Trigun (although I still haven’t seen all of this) on Adult Swim, and Yu-Gi-Oh on the WB.. My all time favorite anime is FLCL, although a close second is Now and Then, Here and There . I have a huge library of anime DVDs and live action DVDs. And I have an even bigger library of live action VHS tapes. Although only a small amount of anime on VHS.
I started writing reviews for a website known as Planetzot.com. The editor there ,Elke, taught me how to write reviews. She writes reviews for her local newspaper. I then started reporting news about the anime company Central Park Media, which was then in hibernation but has since filed for bankruptcy. I eventually started doing reviews for my Central Park Media News blog. From working on that site I only become more and more eager to write reviews again, so I started this blog (although it was originally on google blogger and looked much uglier). I also write for Fanboyreview.net , where the owner Marc taught me everything else I know.
My purpose with this blog is to review anime movies, TV series, and OVAs which aren’t well known, but should be! So I tend to focus on the old shows everyone forgot about, shows no one ever heard of, the new stuff no one seems to watch, old classics which don’t get enough attention, and anything weird. My reviews tend to be positive because I’m not going to dig up some old forgotten anime that will bore you to sleep. I tend to get a kick out of watching shows that are a little off the beaten path, a little strange, but you can’t help but love them. From time to time I do review things that get me excited about this medium, even if everyone else knows about it. I̶n̶ ̶f̶a̶c̶t̶ ̶m̶y̶ ̶m̶o̶s̶t̶ ̶r̶e̶c̶e̶n̶t̶ ̶r̶e̶v̶i̶e̶w̶s̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶b̶e̶e̶n̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶. But my main point for this blog is to hopefully point you into the direction of some old gems, that need more love. As Justin Sevakis once famously said “Anime tastes better when you have to work for it.”.
